"Liberality" is a word in ENGLISH
The quality or state of being liberal; liberal
disposition or practice; freedom from narrowness or prejudice;
generosity; candor; charity.
A gift; a gratuity; -- sometimes in the plural; as, a
prudent man is not impoverished by his liberalities.
You can almost always find something in common with another person, and from there, it's much easier to address issues where you have differences. Sports cut across boundaries of race and wealth. And if nothing else, we all have the weather in common.
