"Sardine" is a word in ENGLISH
See Sardius.
Any one of several small species of herring which are
commonly preserved in olive oil for food, especially the pilchard, or
European sardine (Clupea pilchardus). The California sardine (Clupea
sagax) is similar. The American sardines of the Atlantic coast are
mostly the young of the common herring and of the menhaden.
Our problem right now is that we're so specialized that if the lights go out, there are a huge number of people who are not going to know what to do. But within every dystopia there's a little utopia.
