"Pundo" is a word in HILIGAYNON
púndo - (Sp. fondo) To gather, collect,
accumulate; to stop, unhitch, (of a cart,
etc.). Nagapúndo lang ang túbig dirí, kay
walâ sing iligán. The water collects
(accumulates) here for want of an outlet.

assets. (cf. pahunán, pílak).
It is a sound principle of finance, and a still sounder principle of government, that those who have the duty of expending the revenue of a country should also be saddled with the responsibility of levying and providing it.
