The son of a brother or sister. But the term, as used ln wills and other documents, may include the children of half brothers and sisters and also grand-nephews, lf such be the apparent intention, but not the nephew of a husband or wife, and not (presumptively) a nephew who is illegitimate. How can a man’s candour be seen in all its lustre unless he has a few failings to talk of? But he had an agreeable confidence that his faults were all of a generous kind—impetuous, arm-blooded, leonine; never crawling, crafty, reptilian.
