"Mesenteron" is a word in ENGLISH
All that part of the alimentary canal which is
developed from the primitive enteron and is lined with hypoblast. It is
distinguished from the stomod/um, a part at the anterior end of the
canal, including the cavity of the mouth, and the proctod/um, a part at
the posterior end, which are formed by invagination and are lined with
epiblast.
The idea was that you could grow a system like the Internet one network at a time and then interconnect them. In some sense, the most important thing was the invention of the architecture protocols that enabled the Internet.
