"Lughud" is a word in HILIGAYNON
lúghud - To rub, scour, scrub (with some
force or pressure). Lughurí ang salúg.

maghíning. He rubbed the table with a
cloth till it shone brightly. (cf. lúgod,
lúdgud).
It has been more wittily than charitably said that hell is paved with good intentions. They have their place in heaven also.
