"Culpa" is a word in LAW AND LEGAL, ENGLISH
Lat. A term of the civil law, meaning fault, neglect, or negligence. There are three degrees of culpa,-‘-lata culpa, gross fault or neglect; lcvis culpa, ordinary fault or neglect; levissima culpa, slight fault or neglect,—and the definitions of these (le-grees are precisely the same as those in our law. Story, Bailm. § 18. This term is to be distinguished from dolus, which meaus fraud, guile, or deceit
Negligence or fault, as distinguishable from dolus (deceit,
fraud), which implies intent, culpa being imputable to defect of
intellect, dolus to defect of heart.
There are two kinds of hope: the kind you couldn't do anything about and the kind you could. And even if the kind you could do something about wasn't what you'd originally wanted, it was still worth doing. A rainy day is better than no day. A small happiness can make a big sadness less sad.
