"Counterfeit" is a word in LAW AND LEGAL, ENGLISH
In criminal law. To forge; to copy or lmitate, without authority or right, and with a view to deceive or defraud, by passing the copy or thing forged for that which is original or genuine. copy for that which is original or genuine; to forge; as, to
counterfeit the signature of another, coins, notes, etc.
It has been more wittily than charitably said that hell is paved with good intentions. They have their place in heaven also.
